Our Team: Counselors

Rebecca Sanstead, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Becky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan (ages 5 and up) and couples.

Becky draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities, employing a holistic mind-body approach. Frameworks such as mindfulness, self-compassion, cognitive behavioral therapy, expressive arts, and emotionally focused therapy guide her in creating a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Within this relationship, clients can explore their life experiences with the self-compassion and understanding needed to foster physical, social, mental, and spiritual well-being. By cultivating present moment awareness, Becky supports clients in navigating uncertainty and embracing change.

Becky finds immense fulfillment in witnessing the courage it takes for individuals to walk through the door and begin their therapeutic journey. This moment of trust and hope is a profound reminder of the transformative power of therapy and fuels her dedication to supporting clients as they navigate their paths toward greater well-being.

Becky holds degrees from Smith College and the University of Pennsylvania. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) and is qualified as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction instructor through Brown University. She enjoys being part of the Veteran’s Yoga Project’s Mindfulness for Compassion Fatigue teaching team, trying simple knitting projects, spending time with family and friends, and signing up for sporting events to stay active.
