Kayla Wetzel

Master's Candidate Therapist

Kayla graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford. She is now a student in the final year of her Master’s program as she works towards becoming an LPC in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lock Haven University. Kayla is also on track to earn her certificate specializing in working with the military population. She uses cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapies as well as trauma informed to help the client understand their feelings and how to properly translate them into healthy emotions and actions, as well as acknowledge the present moment as they work on solutions for their future. Kayla enjoys working with all populations and age groups across specialty areas such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, traumatic events, and assault victims. She believes each client has the capability to walk themselves through their struggles – but as humans, we all need additional guidance, compassion, and understanding to help us transform into the best versions of ourselves.
