Our Team: Counselors, Interns

Jessie Brown

Master's Candidate Therapist

Jessie is a Masters Candidate Therapist in her final year of the clinical mental health track at Messiah University. She received her bachelor’s in psychology from Millersville University after which she spent 5 years as an advocate working with under-resourced adults, families, and youth. Jessie is passionate about promoting personal insight, healing, and growth by empowering clients to courageously grieve, celebrate, question, wrestle, and wait with hope. Her work is fueled by the conviction that every individual’s story is sacred and no experience is too small or too complex for meaningful transformation. Jessie takes a collaborative approach to counseling as she comes alongside her clients on their journey with a posture of curiosity and warmth. Her sessions involve a practical, strengths-based approach to therapy while incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques. She will also integrate clients’ individual faith and beliefs into each session, if desired, to support the counseling experience.
