Our Team: Counselors

Dustin Sauder, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Dustin holds a degree in psychology from Messiah College and a Master of Social Work degree from Temple University. He has conducted both individual and group therapy for adolescents in a foster-care setting and has more than 22 years of experience in local pastoral ministry. Additionally, Dustin has extensive cross-cultural experience due to time spent living overseas, as well as leading both domestic and international mission trips.

Dustin strives to warmly connect with clients in counseling and support their next step forward. He believes that counseling is not last-ditch effort, rather a simple action step toward a better you and a better tomorrow. In his counseling methods, he emphasizes the mind-body-spirit connections of clients, and seeks to explore and develop healthy patterns of relating to self and others.

Dustin’s interests include working with adolescents, adults, and couples to provide counseling for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, school issues, sexual concerns, negative thinking, loneliness, anger, financial issues, pastoral/clergy issues, and religious/faith issues. In working with couples, Dustin is specifically trained in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). In this modality, a couple meets under the guidance of the therapist to discover the unmet need for closeness that lies under their relational frustration or miscommunication.

When not in the office, you can often find Dustin fly-fishing in the mountains or hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
