Marjorie Mott

Partnering Spiritual Director

Marjorie is a trained spiritual director who offers contemplative spaces and writing—nourishing places to notice God’s nearness.

She believes the Spirit of God is already active in each person’s life and that she is merely a midwife to all that God is forming and birthing within those she accompanies. In her practice of spiritual direction, she offers a sacred listening space in which individuals slow down to notice God’s loving presence within the joys, sorrows, and ordinary experiences of their lives.

As a spiritual companion, Marjorie uses a compassion‑based approach, holding space for the body’s wisdom and the heart’s movements. Her presence is informed by trauma awareness and insights from IFS/Parts Work. She has frequently worked with young women awakening to the wounds of their past, longing for a new way of relating to God, navigating faith shifts or life transitions, and learning to recognize God’s image within themselves.

Marjorie follows a contemplative Anabaptist faith centered on Jesus’ way of love and peace and on attentive openness to the Spirit. She identifies as a highly sensitive person and an Enneagram 3w4, familiar with her own human fragility, and is continually discovering beauty in her own becoming. In 2022, she completed her training in spiritual direction with Sustainable Faith.
