Jimmy Elsner
Partnering Spiritual Director / MAP Team MemberJimmy holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from CACREP-accredited Grace College as well as completion of a spiritual direction practicum through the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids. Jimmy lives in Lancaster County with his wife and 2 boys. He works full-time as the Human Resources Manager at Samaritan Center.
As a Spiritual Director, Jimmy offers a space for people to see their lives and the world more clearly in order to respond to God’s invitation. He works from an understanding that we have developed ego patterns over the course of our lives to try to protect our true selves from harm. This integrative philosophy is rooted in the understanding that healing comes from identifying and releasing these layers of insulation in partnership with the Holy Spirit so that we can live with more and more interior freedom. In spiritual direction with Jimmy, you can come as you are. Your journey has already begun, and your work could initially include discerning what is happening in your relationship with God in this season. From that place of groundedness, you listen for the answer to the question you started with, “What’s my spiritual Direction?”
