Ben Igo, MA
Ben is a mental health therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate self-discovery, personal growth and meaningful change. He has experience working with adolescents, adults and groups. Ben uses a person-centered approach that meets clients where they are and provides the support needed to help them move toward their goals. Ben believes that every client already possesses the inner strengths and wisdom needed for healing. The work of therapy is to create a safe, collaborative space where those strengths can be discovered, cultivated, and trusted.
He has experience working with anxiety, depression, sports performance anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, and sexual concerns. His approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy while integrating evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), body-based somatic practices, and intentional mindfulness and grounding techniques. He tailors therapy to each individual, recognizing that no two people experience life in the same way.
Ben is especially drawn to the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. He believes lasting well-being emerges when these aspects of ourselves are understood and brought into greater harmony. For clients who desire it, he is also comfortable incorporating spirituality into the therapeutic process in a respectful and client-led manner. He is committed to creating a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to live more fully. He is currently working toward licensure and provides services under clinical supervision.
