Presentation by Samaritan therapist Dustin Sauder, LSW:
Staying Grounded in a Digital Age
If we want to understand the world we live in, we must understand how the digital landscape shapes our lives. On any given Sunday, our pews are filled with people—children, teens, parents, and leaders—whose thoughts, relationships, and daily rhythms are influenced by a world of screens, social media, gaming, and constant connection.
Join Dustin as we explore how digital life is shaping the way we think, relate, and engage with the world around us. What needs are being met in these online spaces? What are we all searching for—and finding—through the devices we carry?
Together, we’ll consider what the church and the life of faith uniquely offer in response: a vision that may feel countercultural yet deeply refreshing and grounding.
Finally, we’ll turn inward as leaders. How do we guide others in a different direction when we’re navigating the same pressures? How do we stay spiritually healthy, attentive, and renewed as we lead in a world that never turns off?
