About the Instructors:
Renee Kurz, LPC, BC-DMT
Renee has been dancing ever since she can remember. She followed this love through college earning a BFA in dance, then sharing the love as a youth dance educator for 8 years. During this time she danced with a range of modern dance companies, while also further pursuing different outlets of social service. In 2016, she felt called to bring together her love of dance and service, earning her MA in Dance/Movement Therapy from Drexel University in 2018. Since then, she has been honored to work with a range of ages and needs as a licensed professional counselor and board certified dance/movement therapist.
Kripi Jain, MA, LAPC, NCC, R-DMT
Kripi is a mental health counselor and Dance/Movement Therapist with experience working with children, adolescents, and families in both individual and group therapy settings. Kripi works from a person-centered, body-based lens, creating a safe, collaborative, and respectful therapeutic space that honors both verbal and nonverbal forms of expression. She integrates trauma-informed care, evidence-informed interventions, and movement-based practices through Dance/Movement Therapy to support emotional regulation, self-expression, and healing. Kripi practices from an eclectic and holistic perspective, thoughtfully tailoring therapy to each client’s needs and goals. For clients who desire it, she incorporates faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process in a respectful and affirming manner. She is deeply passionate about mental health and committed to ethical, reflective practice. She is currently working toward her licensure and provides services under clinical supervision.
