Dance to let go, be with, and give life!

Open to all adult women. No dance experience necessary.

Come dance with us – again! Starting Friday, October 4, join Samaritan Center for a 6-week dance program taking place at Move It Studio, on the second floor of our North Market location in downtown Lancaster. The class will focus on offering movement experiences that support letting go of physical and mental burdens, being with yourself and other women in a compassionate way, and giving life to new experiences and changes you desire.

In the words of a previous participant: “Dance for Mental Health is a beautiful, transformational, co-created space of mostly non-verbal forms of self-expression through which we come to witness each other’s particularity and recognize our shared humanity. It is a space where experiences of healing, hope, joy, and thanksgiving take root, grow, and blossom.”

Another participant reflected, “Renee’s way of guiding you through the class is very simple and free. You can move as much or as little as you want. You don’t have to have any dance experience and Renee has a gift for creating a judgment-free space.”

While each class can stand alone, you are encouraged to attend as many as your schedule allows to receive the most benefit. Come experience what other women described as “…a way to release tension and restore time for oneself amid the noise of everyday life”, “…a safe space for you to move, feel, reflect, and connect with yourself in a unique way”, and “…expressing myself bodily and having that form of expression witnessed, appreciated, and affirmed by other women was incredibly grounding.”
